Weekend emergency dentist for Warminster

If you live in Warminster, Ivyland or Hartsville and a tooth starts hurting late in the week, your regular dentist may be closed until Monday. Bucks Emergency Dental is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so you can be seen during the weekend rather than waiting out the pain. New patients are welcome, and you do not need a referral.

Getting here from Warminster

Our office is at 626 Street Rd in Southampton, just southeast of Warminster. Street Rd (PA 132) runs straight through Warminster, crossing York Rd (PA 263) and Jacksonville Rd (PA 332), then continues southeast into Southampton. For most people in Warminster that means getting on Street Rd and heading east toward Southampton. It is a short drive for most of the township.

Use the map link for turn-by-turn directions and live traffic from your address. Parking is in the back of the building.

While you are on your way

For a toothache, an over-the-counter pain reliever (if you can take it safely) and a cold pack on the outside of your cheek can help. If a crown came off, bring it with you. If a tooth broke, save the pieces and cover any sharp edge with sugar-free gum or dental wax. If a tooth was knocked out, keep it in milk and call right away. Do not put heat on a swollen face.

What a visit looks like

Please call (215) 357-6241 before you head over, or use the online booking link, so we can have a chair ready. Every emergency visit starts with a $99 exam and X-ray. The dentist looks at the tooth, explains what is causing the problem in plain language, and quotes any treatment before anything starts. Same-day options in the office include extractions, root canals and temporary restorations. If something needs a specialist or a lab, the goal is to get you comfortable today and set up the next step.

Bring a photo ID, your dental insurance card if you have one, and a list of the medications you take. We are out of network, but our billing coordinator files your claim as a courtesy and can estimate your coverage before treatment. Cherry and CareCredit financing are available, and we take all major cards.

Some things need a hospital, not a dentist

Go to the emergency room or call 911 instead of calling us if you have any of these:

  • Facial swelling that affects your breathing or swallowing
  • Swelling that is closing your eye, or spreading down your neck
  • A fever with facial swelling
  • A possible broken jaw, or a jaw you cannot close
  • Bleeding that will not stop after 20 minutes of firm pressure

A dental infection that reaches the airway is life threatening. If you are unsure, go to the hospital.
